WINE, DESIGN, AND MORE WINE

Spent my Friday night sipping away on some good ol Italian Wine while painting lovers on a bench full of snowflakes and leaves. Definitely not a bad way to begin my weekend. Last time I did wine and design I didn’t bring  any wine to sip on. Weird, huh? I learned my lesson and grabbed a bottle of red for this rodeo and apparently my friends were thinking the same thing and brought bottles of their own, I guess this explains why I painted snow on a tree full of colored leaves. Wine somehow has that effect on you. You begin to imagine things that would never actually happen, LOL.  I had the best teacher that night and this class was the absolute best. She encouraged creativity and pushed us to step out of our comfort zone, the ideal environment for the dreamer and lighthearted. I highly suggest a trip to a wine and design near you. It’s just a great place to let out some stress, and just relax and get your fingers totally covered in paint while mistakenly sipping your paint water instead of your wine, it happens. If your curious, my friends and I visited the Cary location. Such a great group of people, full of energy and good vibes. What more could I ask for?

Hope you have a great week!

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

BESTIE BIRTHDAY BEHAVIOR II

And for the last blog post to this series, I give you weekends spent with good friends doing absolutely nothing and being totally unproductive. Okay, we kind of did something. We ate breakfast, watched a few movies, took a trip to the North side of town and uh, oh yeah, Nat received some fruit, flowers and balloons from a special someone to the hotel room. Demi didn’t do anything. He just napped, watched football, ate all our cake and napped some more. Gotta love him. This was the best way to bring in my besties 30th birthday.

Now it’s time to gear up for my 5th 25th birthday. What to do, what to do. I’m thinking ice cream and a trip to Indonesia. 😉

Hope you guys have a lovely week.

Sincerely,

Deidra Craig

BESTIE BIRTHDAY BEHAVIOR

Whew, still trying to recover from a weekend full of fun with friends. Spent the whole weekend celebrating my bestie’s 30th birthday. You know it’s your 30th if all you do is relax, eat, watch Netflix and reminisce about the college days. We started this weekend party off right with some delicious food from Yard House. Yup, I’m boring, I order the turkey burger and fresh greens every single time I eat here. We surprised Nat with some roses, a birthday cake with bad writing on it (Long story about my trip to the grocery store) and some spa day activities for her to enjoy while in Raleigh. Here’s hoping she lets me tag along when she goes for her spa day 😉 All in all, my med school mami was happy and full of love and joy.

Notice anything different about my lips? Coped a new lippy from the Target make-up isle for this b-day dinner. I’ve linked it above for your purchasing pleasure and I’ve also linked a similar white blazer; got mine from H&M about a year ago and it’s simply classic, goes with just about anything really.

I have some serious birthday hotel shenanigans to post next. Stay tuned.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie
