HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY CHARLEE

Literally can’t believe that in less than a week I’ll have a whole 3 year old. In typical Charlee fashion she wanted to take a few pics in her new favorite dress and sneakers. Every year we do birthday pics and this year was the first time she had requests and knew what she wanted to do. We beat the rain and missed the harsh sun and was able to get a handful of awesome birthday pics for my sweet girl.

Charlee is such a beam of light and is clearly the life of the party. When she’s not obsessing over the color pink and unicorns, she’s embracing every new experience as it comes at her; asking a million questions, being an awesome leader to her peers and the best big helper at home with her baby brother. She’s so bright, so vivacious and so very curious about the world around her and she’s a caring, kind and nurturing soul. God couldn’t have blessed me with a better broke best friend, LOL.

In a strange turn of events, my sweet Char’s Char battling a nasty cold, so we sadly had to reschedule her bday bash and instead celebrated with cupcakes and trampoline jumps in the backyard this past weekend. Not the best way to bring in 3 years old but, one thing about Charlee, she rolls with the punches and knows how to make lemonade out of lemons. Here’s cramming 2 cliche sentences into this post. I’m a roll today, LOL.

Anywho… below are a few pics from her birthday shoot a few weeks back. In natural Charlee fashion, she requested a princess dress and sneaks for her shoot. A little sassy and a little athletic, just like her momma.

Till next time good people.

Sincerely,

A BABY UPDATE & SOME MATERNITY PHOTOS

Hi Friends! I can’t believe we’re almost at the finish line with this pregnancy. We’re approximately 2 days away from baby’s arrival and I couldn’t be more relieved. This has been a crazy ride that I’m grateful is almost to an end. This pregnancy was significantly more challenging than my first, so to say I’m relieved it is coming to an end is an understatement. All that said, it’s been a complication free pregnancy with just some overall discomfort from carrying what I think will be a very big baby, but I’m excited for Charlee to meet her little brother and can’t wait to be a family of 4.

Anyway, at 38 weeks I managed to muster up enough energy to finally get some maternity photos done. Big shoutout to my wonderful husband for capturing these beautiful shots below. Honestly, this is the best I’ve felt this whole pregnancy. It really does make a difference to put on some make-up and get all dolled up. When you look good, I supposed you feel good too. I’m going to attempt to keep this same mindset once baby arrives because it really was a major mood booster for me and made me feel somewhat like myself, which as many of you moms out there may know, feeling like yourself during and after pregnancy can sometimes be challenging.

So, I’m writing this and am in the latter part of my 39th week of pregnancy. Overall, I’m feeling confident and ready to bring another beautiful life into the world. I’m fresh off of my Mother’s Day high and looking forward to momming with 2 under 2. I can’t say I’m 100% prepared for this, but what I will say is that I’m confident in myself and my husbands abilities to keep a kiddo alive and at this point, that’s all that really matters, I think the rest just comes later and you keep doing the best you can with the resources and help that you have. There was a moment or several moments in the beginning of my mom journey where things just started to click, taking care of Charlee got easier, routines were set, I was getting sleep and therapy and working out consistently and finally started feeling like myself and less naive about parenting. I suspect I’ll get there again with 2 in tow. In the meantime, I’ve decided to lean into this new lifestyle and embrace all the good, bad and ugly that comes my way. So that’s my pregnancy update for you. Not much else to report until the tiny human gets here. I’ll keep you posted on little man’s arrival. In the meantime, check out a few more of my maternity photos. Enjoy.

Till next time.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

AN EARTH DAY BABY SHOWER

I know I always say this in every posts, but I’m back and sorry I’ve been gone for so long. It’s been a crazy busy past few months. I’m am trucking along in this second pregnancy and I’m officially 36 weeks pregnant and very excited for the arrival of our little one here in a few weeks. We had the most wonderful baby shower this past weekend. The weather was calling for hail, thunderstorms, heavy rain, an isolated tornado and gusty winds. We ended up getting some heavy rain, but it was actually very beautiful since it’s was warm and we didn’t have to fight with the harsh, hot sun.

We had our shower on Earth Day to celebrate our son who will be a Taurus which is an Earth sign. I also just love the color green and green represents new life so I was determined to wear green to celebrate the new life coming into our lives. We’re also very excited to become a family of four here soon. I know it’ll be challenging as this is a big transition for us, but I’m looking forward to it and all God has for us.

Anyway, below are few pics of some of the special people in my life who were able to attend the event on Saturday, plus some solo pics of me my husband was able to snap. Confession, these solo pics might just be my maternity photos if I don’t muster up enough energy to get my maternity photos done this weekend, LOL. Just a heads up for you all.

I hope you enjoy the pics and Happy Monday!

Till next time….

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie
