HAWAII ADVENTURES 2020

Hi All,

I’m completely back logged on travel photos from last year and earlier this year, so I’ll be sharing those throughout the week so you can enjoy photos from when travel was possible before 2020 arrived and took that all away, you know with COVID and all, lol. This is part one of our adventures in Hawaii back in early January. Charles and my two very good friends, Jams and Knockett headed to the Northshore to check out Kualoa Ranch, a popular tourist spot in the Northshore, Oahu. We signed up for some pretty amazing tours and these pics are pics from our first tour of the day, which was an ocean voyage. We had some pretty amazing tour guides who took us out to sea. It literally couldn’t have been a better day. It was a little drizzle, over cast (meaning no harsh sun) and some pretty rough winds which made our boat ride super adventurous and bumpy from beginning to end. As many of you know, this is my second time visiting Hawaii, but my first time doing a tour like this. This is the closest I’ve gotten to Chinaman’s hat and we even got soaking wet hanging off the edge of the rail because that is where the boat was rocking the most. It was nice to see this side of the Northshore and enjoy the beautiful, crisp blue water.

I hope you enjoy Part I of this album and see you back here soon for Part II.

Till next time.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

ONCE UPON A TIME IN Costa Rica PART I

It’s so great to be back sharing travel photos from one of my best travel years, 2019-2020. I’ve been to a lot of different places, but nothing compares to my trip to Costa Rica back in mid November of 2019. We booked this trip with 2 of our very good college friends on a whim and stayed for a week cramming in as many excursions and rainforest adventures that we could. This first set of pics was from our trip to Guanacaste Costa Rica and the Arenal hot springs. We stayed in the most amazing condo in Jaco, Costa Rica so getting to the hot springs was a 4 hour trip there and back, but as you can see from the pictures, it was so worth it. We spent the first half of the day doing a 2 hour hike up one of the active volcanoes in Arenal. Our tour guide, Jacob, was awesome and so passionate about his work and so dedicated to sharing the history of the volcano with us. Once we made it to the top of the volcano, my mouth literally dropped at the view. It was the most breathtaking view I’ve ever seen. Don’t think I could’ve gotten closer to heaven. The air was so fresh and clean and I just felt so at peace and invigorated. It was by far the best memory. As cliche as it sounds, I’ll never forget this trip for as long as I live.

After the hike, we went for a dip in the hot springs at the Baldi Hot Springs Hotel. I think our next trip to Costa Rica will have to include a stay at one of the hot spring hotels because it was the most relaxing location EVER! Also, visiting the hot springs was clearly the best way to prepare for our 4 hour drive back to Jaco.

I hope you enjoy our hiking photos. Sorry, no photos of the hot springs, I was too busy having fun to capture any of that. I’ll be back next week with some more pics from our adventures in Costa Rica.

Till next time.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie
