FLORIDA VIBES

We made it! Yep, I said it, we made it to vacation and now were back, just like that. We spent a week in Orlando, Florida and it was literally the fastest week of my entire life. Vacations are like that sometimes, huh? I was able to snap a few shots of my Florida looks though. Between visiting tons of amusement parks and pressing my way through the last bit of spring classes, I’m pooped. Not to mention, Charles and I were editing graduation pics for clients all week too. #thestruggleissoreal.

I hit it big at the Southern Women’s show a few weeks back and racked up on some of the cutest thrifted pieces, including this chartreuse tunic top I’m rocking in my pics. I love me some chartreuse, and this color is so fitting for the warmer weather coming our way in NC. I’m also no stranger to a fun, comfy, colorful sandals. I’ll be rocking these orange numbers all summer along with the green pair I purchased sometime last year from K&G Fashion. Anyone else already rocking their white denim? I get so bored of blue denim, so I can hardly wait to wear my white bottoms.

I’ll be sharing deets on my pageant later this week. In the meantime, shop my shoes and at the links above!

Hope you have a good week.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

NC ART ADVENTURES

One of my fav people to hangout with on the weekend is my big bro. We’ve been tight since 1987, then my sister came along and well…..things got more fun, LOL. We are a family that’s all about the free stuff. Thankfully, we live in a city where free stuff is happening all the time. One of my fav activities to do is walk around the NC Art museum. They had some new exhibits a few weeks back so  my brother, Charlie and I had to check it out. And of course, we couldn’t possibly go anywhere and leave our camera behind, so we snapped some shots of all the shenanigans too. We ran into a fellow NC styleblogger/vlogger from South Africa, doing the most amazing photoshoot EVER with the most amazing NC photographer EVER, Kathleen Nolis. Aren’t they beauts!? We exchanged insta info and I’ve been following both their pages ever since. I love meeting fellow bloggers and supporting other peoples content. It’s nice to get another perspective on things and link up with like-minded people doing dope stuff in my city.

Well, I have a boat load of homework to do before the day is done and I’m also prepping for my pageant interviews so it may or may not be awhile before I can post another fashion look but we’ll see. It’s always nice to stop by and provide content when I can #lifeofapartimeblogger. I’ll keep you posted on all the pageant deets though.

Till next time friends.

Sincerely,

Deidra Craig

CHILLY BEACH DAY

This was literally the weekend to trump all weekends this year. Be it cold, warm, rain or shine, Charlie and I never pass down an opportunity to head to the beach. Charlie’s friends condo in Carolina Beach was available so we hit the road for MLK weekend to freeze our butts off and take in the beach views, from the comfort of our condo window of course, LOL. As you can see from the pics, we did stand the freezing temps for a bit before heading home in search of warm fires and the continuation of binge watching telenovela’s on Netflix. Yeah, by the way, Charlie or (as my Spanish teacher calls him) Carlito, and I are learning Spanish so we started watching telenovelas to catch us up on all the drama of latin life, LOL.

In any case, thought I’d share these shots and catch you guys up on what exactly I’ve been doing for the past couple of weeks. I’ve totally been slacking with my blogging these days because school and work are kicking my but. Oh, did I tell you, I’m headed to Costa Rica in May with the most amazing people in the world. I can’t wait to capture all the CR shenanigans and practice my Spanish.

I hope everyone has the most awesome weekend ahead.

Ciao amigas!

Sincerely,
