So, I’m sure we’ve all dealt with it, yes, you know what I’m talking about, those fall skin transitions. Those transitions where your skin is not behaving the way you want it to because of the weather changes. It happens to me every year. The minute the weather starts to make it’s transition to colder days, my skin becomes really dry and parched and I notice the texture is not as clear. I also get a few blemishes if I’m not taking steps to moisturize throughout the day. I have combination skin, but in the winter, it seems more dry than anything and with all the holiday parties and holiday events, I wear more make-up than usual which can clog the pores and collect dirt build up. This year, I’m taking extra measures with my skin and incorporating a weekly mask routine to keep my skin happy and healthy as it goes from warm to cold days here in NC.
I’m sure you’ve heard me talk about masking in past blogpost. It’s definitely a new addition to my skin routine because why not. Aside from my weekly Apple Cider Vinegar and Bentonite Clay mask, I’ve incorporated the new YESto White Charcoal line to my skin care routine as well. I’m lazy, so the Yesto Detoxifying and Hydrating White Charcoal Mud Mask is amazing. I can target certain areas with this easy to use stick and bam, clean, healthy hydrated skin in no time. My favorite thing about the tomato line is that it’s specifically for dry sensitive skin and since I fit the bill, I’m winning. Masking is a permanent thing in my skincare routine this season by who wants dry, blemished skin? Not I. Other than masking, I’m making sure to do the following to keep my skin at top level this fall:
- Moisturize 2 times a day or more
- Drink at least 64oz of water a day
- Consume at least 4 servings of vegetables a day
- Oil cleanse and tone
- Incorporate clean beauty/cosmetics products into my daily routine
- Exercise regularly
- Sleep at least 8 hours a day
I think with these actions steps, my skin will fair the fall and winter weather transitions. Here’s to happy and healthy skin this season and seasons to come.
Stay tuned for my updated skincare products coming to the blog soon.
Sincerely,
Deidra Marie
