CASUAL COZY WITH TIGHT KNIT NYC

It’s cold out here on these streets so I stay bundled up with my new infinity scarf by
Tight Knit NYC. How else do you expect me to stay warm and stylish all at the same time? Speaking of stylish, I kept it real casual but colorful and paired my new scarf with some skinny denim, a basic plaid button up and cute suede wedges.  With a scarf color this bold and green, your outfit should include relaxed colors that let the scarf pop and do it’s thing.

NC is calling for some serious snow and ice this weekend so I pulled this baby out because I know I can weather the storm with this wrapped around my neck 4 or 5 times, is it hot in here or is it just me? Yup, I said it, this scarf goes a long ways, and I mean that literally. When I received it I was so happy with how much fabric there really was. FYI, it’s a nice wool fabric and handmade, might I add. I’m prepared for any snow flurry or icicle that comes my way this weekend because I’ll be immersed in a bundle full of warm and cozy. You can be too so I’m starting off the new year right and giving you 25% of your Tight Knit NYC purchase when you use code: COILSCURLSCOZY.

I’ve linked my amazing new scarf, my plaid top, denim bottoms, and a similar pair of shoes at the top for your shopping pleasure. If you or someone you know has shopped Tight Knit NYC before, I would love to hear about the experience or see photos of how you styled your item. Feel free to comment in the comment box below. Stay warm lovelies. Oh one more thing, I know your wondering how this scarf can be dressed up for a night out on the town, so stay tuned because I have an outfit idea up my sleeve.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

POOLSIDE VIBES

Gearing up for New Year’s by doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Yes, I said it. Relaxing is the name of the game, and I have no plans to bring in the new year but to chill by this pool, enjoy a good glass of wine or two, hehe, and catch up on some much needed Netflix episodes. Only a few more days in Florida and it’s back to reality and the work grind on Monday. Why do vacations seem to go by so fast? I did manage to check out some shopping outlets and nabbed a great shiny top from Ann Taylor Factory. Not sure where I’ll be wearing it but if I decide last minute to go out and bring in 2017, I’ll have an outfit ready to go. Let’s be honest, 2017 is coming whether I celebrate or not, LOL. I could always put the top on and have a party of one by the pool, me and my two best friends Riesling and Cabernet Sauvignon, LOL

Speaking of outfits, I linked a similar pair of sunnies at the top for you to check out. I grabbed my sunnies from a Ross in Orlando for a whopping $5 bucks! And I finally got a chance to wear this darling romper from American Eagle because FL is warm. The romper is currently on sale for $20.00. Can’t beat that, huh?

Before I go, there is just a few more days to participate in the Smile Brilliant Giveaway. Click here to read the post, view my before and after results and get all the deets on how you can win a free teeth whitening kit, courtesy of Smile Brilliant!

Yay to 2017. Happy New Year Everyone!

OLIVE GREEN DRESS AND GARDEN WALKS

Saturday mornings are for quiet garden walks with my main squeeze. Charlie and I were up at the crack of dawn on Saturday, cleaned up the house a little, and by a little I mean we threw a load of laundry into the washing machine and forgot to turn the darn thing on, LOL. Yes, it’s like that sometimes. We decided a trip to the JC Arboretum was a good idea. We roamed around, checked out all the plant life, snapped some shots, and then off to Ihop for some fluffy pancakes and french toast, yummy.

As far as the outfit I’m rocking is concerned, a few of the pieces are from back in the day (Gold Jacket-The Limited, Cognac Booties-Charlotte Russe). No worries though, I’ve linked a similar Olive Green dress, My H&M gold button earrings, and printed scarf for you at the top. I had a fun time pairing these pieces together. It’s still a bit warm in NC in the afternoon so I make sure I have layers I can remove if I get hot. I’m all about showing a little leg too. I wanted to stay in the fall color theme so the Olive colored dress was a win win. When in doubt, add a blazer and fun colored scarf to elevate any look.

Who else is ready for Thanksgiving? This is my fav holiday so I’ll be posting a few of my fav Turkey Day recipes passed down from my mom and granny. Hope you enjoy!

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie
