Starbucks gave me a free lemonade the next day. They were still turnt from last night.
It was my very first concert so I had no choice but to get in formation. Spent the night with one of my besties, Hannah and her girl Irene. Talk about high energy! I’m so glad I decided to make Beyonce my first choice concert. That woman can really put on a show. The anticipation was killing me, but when she finally came out I was taken aback. She is such an amazing performer that’s its unreal.

I have heard absolutely none of her Lemonade songs so to hear them for the first time LIVE was a treat! No rain or thunder could stop this girl. She could careless about getting drenched in water. Her and her squad danced, waited for the thunder and lightening to stop and came back out and finished the show like it was nothing. And that ladies and gentlemen, is how you get in FORMATION! She stopped in the middle of the song and said “Guys this is quite beautiful” and proceeded to throw her hands out and stick her head up to catch a couple of the rain drops in her mouth. By far the best moment in the show!

We were drenched in rain water and I was freezing cold, sat in the parking lot trying to get out the stadium for about an hour but IT WAS WORTH IT! Hannah is still hype this morning. I’m running off of a few hours of sleep so after work I’m hitting the sack. Unfortunately, I was in formation but people gotta work today. I’m just saying though.

I will definitely be going to more concerts in the future. Didn’t realize what I was missing this whole time. I’ll be off to the gym to burn off the funnel cake (powdered sugar and cinnamon topping) I scarfed down before Bey came on to perform.

Sipping on this lemonade and praying my strength in the Lord. Gotta make it through this day!
Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

WHITE SUNNIES, WHITE BOTTOMS AND A LITTLE GLITTER

Hello lovelies! Hoping you had an awesome weekend and welcome to Monday!

For those who don’t know, I’m colored-obsessed. Colors are pretty powerful and have a way of manipulating your mood. When all else fails, I wear obnoxious neon colors and strut. I typically dress according to mood: bright colors for my happy days, darker shades of gray and black for my indifferent and occasionally sad days. It’s the easiest way to express myself and requires no thought. Someone once told me emotions and feelings cloud judgment and can get you in trouble. This may be true so instead of wearing my feelings on my sleeve, (because my shirt is sleeveless) I wear them on my feet, top, bottom, you get my drift 🙂 Forgive my cheesy humor, I get carried away sometimes.

I was feeling neon orange and sparkly and decided to complete the look with some white ankle denim, pointy glitter flats, white sunnies and some geometric rose gold and white earrings; an interesting combo to say the least. White bottoms are the perfect way to balance out a look that already makes a serious fashion statement. I’m all about white bottoms year around and I’m not afraid to show it. White brightens up any look and is fresh, youthful and simple. Aside from my obsession with color, I’m also obsessed with the color white. In fact, I have a white room at my house that is not complete yet, saving some money up to purchase some white furniture pieces. Sounds a bit overboard but its gorgeous, trust me. If your not convinced, Google “all white rooms” and you’ll change your mind. 🙂 If your looking to simplify your look? Keep it easy breezy with some white bottoms and a solid-colored or patterned top. I usually follow this rule when I’m in a rush and need something on hand. If you haven’t already done so, purchase some white denim for the summer! It’s definitely a must have for any fashion-lover.

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

And NC State for the win!
It was a great night to head over to our alma mater and check out a good ol fashion ball game! I’ve always loved baseball, in fact, I played softball most of high school. Watching a live game is the only way you should watch the game. Between the funnel cakes, french fries, music and die hard fans, you can pretty much have a good time from anywhere in the stands.

It was NC State vs. East Carolina State University. Talk about a good game. Proud of my school, we took home a win 6-1. A darn good game if I do say so myself. In other news, I took home my denim pants full of powered sugar and a few extra lbs for the win. Definitely going to the gym like 12 times this week. 🙂

What a great way to start the week. I have a feeling this week will continue to be amazing! Have an awesome week everyone!

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie
