DOWNTOWN VIBES AT LIVING KITCHEN

Another weekend gone in a matter of seconds. Again, Smonday should be a new day of the week. Spent a large chunk of the weekend chillaxin with one of my fav babes, Hannah. We are on this healthy-living kick right now so what better spot to grub out than at Living Kitchen. Living Kitchen is housed in the heart of Downtown Raleigh and serves some serious fresh eats that are organic, colorful and just good for the body in general. Who says organic can’t be yummy? I must say I was pleasantly surprised at how satisfying the veggie burger was. I ordered a salad with some random stuff on it too. It was crunchy and colorful,  my two favorite things. Kinda makes you think that this eating healthy business isn’t that bad after all if you choose the right meals.

On another note, in less than 4 days Charlie and I are making our way to the west coast. Were going going back back to Cali Cali. Well, we’ve never been but you get my drift, LOL, Los Angeles to be exact. Stay tuned for my packing shenanigans and my quest to meet some celebrity crushes.

Have a awesome, fantastic week!

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

V-DAY FUN

Happy Valentines Day CCC readers. Hope you and your love ones enjoy the day, eat lots of heart-shaped candy, and of course spread the love! I spent the weekend playing with these plastic Dollar Store heart-shaped sunnies and eating chocolate truffle and banana ice cream with marshmallows and graham cracker from Cold Stone Creamery. I know, that seems like the oddest mix for an ice cream treat but who said anything about me being normal, and besides, any trip to Cold Stone Creamery means pairing crazy ice creams together with ludicrous toppings.

Sorry guys, still trying to figure out what to wear for today but I’m pretty sure Charlie’s not taking me anywhere. It’s a school night, and I’m suppose to be dieting for this trip to Puerto Rico in April so that means spinach leaves and chicken for dinner 😦 no going out to eat.

I’ve linked some similar earrings and a hot pink blazer at the top.

Have fun today and Happy V-day lovers!

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie

OUT AND ABOUT

And just like that, warm weather appears magically out of nowhere again this month. I’m starting to think I should just leave clothes in my car from every season so in the event the weather person is wrong I can just switch up my outfit in the car. I’ve learned to rely on that initial first step onto the front porch in the AM. Yup, that tells me everything I need to know, but just to be safe, I’ll throw some flip flops, boots, scarves and a rain coat in the car. 🙂

This past weekend I hung around downtown Garner before the big Super Bowl game. No coat needed for this adventure as it was in the high 60’s for most of the day. I’m super excited because while down there some locals informed me that they are building this hometown coffee shop over this way, which means I’ll finally have a coffee shop to hang out at other than Starbucks. Don’t get me wrong, I love Starbucks but there is nothing like supporting small businesses. I’m also in full support of organic coffee as well. The smell is always so robust and most flavors are bold and smooth.

The OOTD was a basic boho chic tunic I purchased on sale from Target’s Knox Rose line, jewelry and booties are from Charlotte Russe, circa 2010. No worries, I’ve linked similar looks at the top for your purchasing pleasure.

One more day till Friday so happy Weekend!

Sincerely,

Deidra Marie
