LOC METHOD WITH MIELLE ORGANICS

I’ve been ranting and raving Mielle Organics Haircare Line, but never really shared specifically how I incorporate these products into my routine. I’m a huge fan of the LOC Method. It pretty much guarantees my curls and could won’t dry out mid-week. Depending on the hairstyle, I can get about 4-5 days of wear using the LOC Method. One of the most important steps in my weekly routine is deep conditioning. I typically deep condition about once a week just because I work out about 5 days a week and by the end of the week the sweat has dried each and every strand of hair out. If it’s really bad, I co-wash mid-week. to sum things up, my hair is fully immersed in was about 1-2 times a week. I’ve noticed this routine has really worked for me. I see less tangles, less breakage and more length retention. While I’m not concerned about length to much, it’s nice to have when winter comes and you are itching for a blowout. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be the first to take some scissors and cap my hair but these days I’ve gotten my routine down to a science and under 2 hours so I’m not as irritated as I was in the past. I have the LOC Method to thank for that.
LOC Method is basically layering on product for moisture retention. Leave in conditioner first, Oil to seal and lastly a Cream or style of your choice. This method is pretty much how my hair has survived these scorching NC days.

I use the following Mielle Organics Haircare Line products for the LOC Method:

The The Mint Almond Oil has a very thick consistency and really penetrates the hair. If you’ve read my previous post, you know I use the Mielle Organics Babassu Deep Conditioner for may deep conditioning. I’ve been pretty consistent with this method and have had exceptional results, less single strand knots, less hair shed, and I noticed my hair is shinier as well. Of course, I’ll continue to experiment with other products but MO has not failed me yet so I’ll stick to what I know. You know what they say “If it ain’t broke don’t fix it”.

If you haven’t been I suggest you make a trip to the North Carolina Museum of Art! This is my second visit this month and I tell you this place never gets old. First time I went I was with my friend Hannah. I knew my mom, sister and husband would want to go once I told them it was free. Obviously, from the pics you can see they throughly enjoyed themselves. Every week they have live music, free tours, and a free movie showing so if your looking for somewhere to go and your balling on a budget, the NC Museum of Art is the place to go! We will be doing a day trip to the beach again so stay tuned for all the beach shenanigans coming your way.

Relaxed and went for a night out on the town with my girls on Thursday. It was nice to get out the house and hit the city streets. Oh downtown Raleigh how I’ve missed you so!Of course with every outing there is an occasion. We were celebrating my friends birthday! After 20 or so minutes spent searching for a park and another 10 trying to parallel park, we finally made it to Fayetteville Street for all the amazing food, shopping, dancing and live music. We had our hearts set on eating at the Twisted Mango but unbeknownst to us the restaurant had shut down 😦 Next stop was the Big Easy. We were lost trying to get there but we finally made, sweaty and thirsty. Certainly not my favorite food experience though but who cares, I made it out the house! LOL. We chilled around downtown until they stopped playing the music and the lights in the city began to turn off. Yup, it is very evident we don’t get out much so we were trying to milk all the time we had without kids, work, church etc… well you get my drift.
Favorite part of the night? The Blackberry Hibiscus ice cream. Yup, I’m know for picking the weirdest flavors of ice cream to sample. Couldn’t possibly be boring like Charles and choose Vanilla or Strawberry. The weirder the flavor the better. FYI, I’m completely obsessed with Pumpkin flavored ice cream and cannot wait for fall so I can indulge in my favorite fall flavor! Everyone knows fall isn’t fall without Pumpkin flavor in all your food!
All in all it was a pretty amazing night. I paid for it the next day as I didn’t get home until about 11ish and had to be up and out the house for work by 6:30. Yup, am I only one thinking the weekend blew by like a mighty rushing wind? Whew, where the heck does the time go? When you figure it out please let me know because I could swear it was Friday like a few hours ago. LOL, I guess people are right when they say time flys when your having fun.
Hoping everyone has an awesome week!
Sincerely,
Deidra Marie
